Alexandra Morot

Partner, lawyer and divorce mediator (vFAS / MfN) | Collaborative divorce lawyer (VvCP)| IAFL fellow

Alexandra Morot was raised in France, after which she read law in Leiden (NL). She became a lawyer in 2001 and since 2003 specialises exclusively in family law.

Her French background gives her an outstanding knowledge of French culture and she speaks French fluently. In addition, she has an excellent command of written and spoken English.

As a result of her international background, Alexandra is particularly interested transnational cases in the broadest sense. Alexandra is an energetic, practical and solution-oriented lawyer/divorce mediator with a broad litigation experience.

Mediations

Alexandra has conducted a large number of mediations, also in French and in English. Whenever she represents one of the spouses, she will endeavour to consult with the other party in order to arrange the consequences of the divorce. She has broad experience in conducting complex negotiations and also involves tax consultants, accountants and pension experts in order to work out an optimal settlement for all parties concerned.

She takes into account the fact the (ex-) spouses often have to continue seeing each other as the parents of their children. Still, if warranted by the importance of the case or the client, she does not shy away from bringing proceedings. Her year-long experience in conducting legal proceedings will ensure the best possible result.

Alexandra has completed the vFAS specialist training in family law and is also a divorce mediator. As a divorce mediator and collaborative divorce lawyer, she is affiliated to the vFAS and the Vereniging Collaborative Divorce Holland. In addition, Alexandra is on the list of French-speaking lawyers in The Netherlands of the French consulate in Amsterdam.

As a partner of LINK Advocaten, she is co-responsible for the Amsterdam branch.
