Partner, lawyer and divorce mediator | IAFL fellow
Chantal van Baalen-Van IJzendoorn read Dutch law at the University of Utrecht. Since 2002, Chantal has been active as lawyer in family law and the law of persons.
Chantal believes that a lawyer should also take into account the relational and emotional aspects of a divorce in order to be able to assist people effectively. In addition to her consultancy and litigation practice, Chantal has conducted many mediation cases, also in English. She is a committed and practical lawyer and attaches great importance to a rapid service.
Chantal is fluent in English and she runs an international practice. She focuses on divorces, maintenance issues and matrimonial property law, including the settlement of marriage contracts. Chantal completed the legal specialist training in family law and the training for divorce mediators of the Dutch Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS), as well as the training for collaborative divorce lawyer of the Vereniging Collaborative Divorce Holland. She is elected a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL).
As a partner of LINK Advocaten, she is co-responsible for the Amsterdam branch and she works both in Amsterdam and in Amersfoort.
